Ickford School was 19th in the recent primary school league tables for the whole of the country, putting it top in Buckinghamshire and in the top 1% of all schools in England. It is an amazing achievement for such a small village school and is a sharp turnaround to just eight years ago when it was in the bottom 20%.
We want to ensure these standards can be maintained, which is why the Ickford School PTA is aiming to raise £10,000 by the end of this school year to fund the latest interactive screens for each of the five classrooms. The screens are used in every lesson and are a vital teaching aid.
On Friday March 16 we are holding a fundraising race night in the village hall, which is open to all Ickford residents. Tickets are just £8 and this includes a meal. You can buy your tickets from the school office or email: email@example.com and we’ll drop them off.
We hope you can support us for what is sure to be a fun-filled evening (and it’s Cheltenham Gold Cup day too!).
